Common Core and Scott Foresman Reading Street

Our county in North Carolina will be using the Common Core starting this fall. I am moving from 4th grade to 2nd grade, double whammy huh Anyway, I am working this summer to learn the 2nd grade curriculum along with all the resources we have at our school. We have the Scott Foresman Reading Street book and the manual has all of the material aligned to the NCSCOS. I know many other counties have already started using the Common Core. I was hoping someone had already matched the Common Core with the book. I started a chart to use for myself as a reference which I will attach but have not filled out the objective column. Does anyone out there already know the new Common Core objectives to go with each story?

The copyright is 2007. The spine of the book says Reading Street 2.1 Scott Foresman. Does this help. It has stories like Iris and Walter
Exploring Space with an Astronaut, Henry and Mudge and the Starry Night, The Strongest One. Does this help?

This is the edition we are using. The newest edition of Reading St. has the common core standards listed for each story. Also, many of the stories are the same. However, our school chose to adopt Journeys instead of the new Reading St. Maybe Scott Foresman has a website with the CC standards listed for each story. You would have some of the stories (those that they didn't change) already done.

That's a good idea. Right now I am registered on the 4th grade part of the website. I'll have to check with our media specialist about getting the access code.

Ok I realized I uploaded the wrong chart. Here is the updated one. The only part I haven't completed is the common core part. Has anyone compared the NCSCOS to the new common core?

Does anyone know of a website where the powerpoints have been updated with the Common Core Standards? The first story in our book Unit 1 is "The Twin Club". I locve using Waltke's Web and a few others, but no one has updated them yet:-(
