I'm a fan of the horseshoe. I had a kidney and in a room switch incident, I wound up with a horseshoe table. I LOVE it even though it's a little bit bigger. I feel like I can get to each child easier.

I have only had kidney tables. I think I would like a horseshoe table better, because I sometimes feel far away from the students with my kidney table. I also feel like the horseshoe table spreads the students out a little more.

I think it depends on the grade you teach. Older children can reach you with the kidney but little children cant. I have taught upper and lower and had both-I had to trade my kidney when I moved down because my students were so far away from me.

I actually like my "flower" table better than both. I can still get to kids but it work well when kids are sharing supplies.

I have a kidney shape table, but a horseshoe table would allow closer interaction with the students. I have 5 students at my table and one end or the other always seems too far away from me.

When at a horseshoe table, I feel like some child is always behind me. I prefer Kidney.
