Help! Can't use staples!!

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am starting a job in a new school district. We were told that we can NOT use staples in the walls. HELP! How can I make a bulletin board on a wall without using staples? Will sticky tack hold fabric to the wall? Will it stay once you add to the bulletin board? I appreciate any ideas.

We can't use staples either. We go through a ton of velcro. Thankfully the school provides that for us.

You can put fabric on the wall using liquid starch. It goes on wet so it sticks without anything else and when dry will stay up until you pull it off. No damage to the walls! You will have to tape things to it or use hot glue. Mine has been up for 2 years and still looks great.

makes all kind of durable and removable fasteners - designed to hold different weights. You can find a selection at places like Hobby Lobby.

does that mean pushpins are too? I'm assuming anything that makes holes is out. What about double-sided tape for smaller things? Home Depot and Lowe's have a great assortment of velcro in different strengths with adhesive on the back. You could also try Command strips. I use these every year in my classroom, just pay attention to the weight limits on the strips and use them liberally. Good luck....also try asking or peeking in rooms to see what other teachers are using. They have to have a system in place already.

I discovered this tape last year when I couldn't use staplers either. It is wonderful !!!!! Not one of my posters fell and it does not rip the paint off the wall. It's about 3-4 dollars for a small roll but you only need to use a little bit. I loved it and have already bought three rolls for the entire school year
