An easy and free one is Microsoft Photo Story. It's a free download to a windows machine and is really friendly. Our 5th graders even created a slide show with very little assistance this year....

I have iphoto and itunes on my school issued laptop. It's a breeze to make slideshows!

I've been using slide.com to make my slideshows. You do have to register, but it's free! I found it very userfriendly. All you have to do is upload your pictures and pick from a variety of special effects. Once I'm finished with my show, I put it on my webpage.

It's fairly easy to use (if I learned it anyone can!). I like it because it's easy to fancy it up and add music/captions, etc.

Okay...I started on windows movie maker because one of my friends said it is easy to use. Can anyone tell me how to put music on it and captions? I have all my pictures on there but I can't figure out how to get the music that I want onto the slide show.

On the left of the screen near the top you will see Import music and on the left near the bottom is Movie Maker tips. When you click on Import Music, then you simply go to the folder where your music or sound clips are located.
