I would like to make a slideshow of the year to give each student as an end of the year gift. It would consist of pictures from the school year and appropriate music. I teach second grade. Does anyone have an idea of good music to choose? I thought of "It's a Wonderful World" but need several other songs. Thanks for your help in advance!

I did the same thing for my second graders.

Here are the songs I used:
High School Musical; We're all in the together
Cars, Rascal Flatts; Life is a Highway
Meet the Robinsons; We're the kids of the future
Toy Story; You've got a friend in me
Rascal Flatts: My Wish

The kids loved it because they were able to sing with all of them and I made some parents cry with the last song.

I just finished a retirement powerpoint on DVD for a colleague of my husband. I used "World" by Five for Fighting. It's a great song, but may be too "grown up" for a younger student, but it's still great music (and nothing inappropriate in the words!)

I used HS Musical "Were all in this together"
I also used many songs from the Radio Disney Cd's: Pop Princess, Graduation Day (Friends Forever), Rockin Robin, Locomotion, Everybody Dance Now... I picked really upbeat fun songs and the kids in my room loved them. They were singing and dancing the whole time! Good luck!
