Holiday Break homework

So, we are required to send homework over breaks (like Thanksgiving, winter break, etc.) I'd rather send home a list of "enrichment" type suggestions for what families can do with kids instead. For example- instead of a math worksheet, they can have their child cook with them and talk about the measuring cups, how to double a recipe, how to half a recipe, etc.

Does anyone have resources/ideas for this? I teach a 1/2 combo.

Christina Bainbridge has something like that on her site. It's under the Teachers page.

For Thanksgiving, I teach kinder, our kids took a "Roll, Say, Keep" game (with word wall word cards), their little Thanksgiving readers, and some math games. This was in zip lick bags with dice and two crayons.

They have to do homework everyday that they eat
