Where can I acquire a complete set of Marzano-based "scales" for both math and ELA Common Core for 5th grade? It would be perfect if they were in doc format so they could be incorporated into an existing learning log.

http://www.marzanoresearch.com/ and then click on free resources and choose proficiency scale bank.

I like creating my own, I found it a valuable way for me to think through the content.

ancientciv, you are my hero! Thank you so much! That is exactly what I was looking for and it was on a Marzano site all this time. I will need to spend some time there seeing what other resources they have. Thank you!!

In conjunction with standards based grading. The scale defines the content and criteria for each level of proficiency, and the students and teachers use this to determine their progress.
