Hey, does anyone have a frog themed classroom? I would love to see some pond pictures! I am going to have a Welcome to the Pad bb board and need some help w/the vision! I've never been a theme person before, but I am really liking all the new frog stuff!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm doing frogs this year too. Sorry but no pictures yet. Try this site. She does a great job and there are lots of resources to "borrow". Also, search the boards for frog or themes. It's been a hot topic lately.

I am doing a frog theme this year. I am not finished, so I don't have any pictures yet.
I do a lunch count chart. I have pictures of a packed lunch and a "bought" lunch. The students place their names under the correct picture. This is how we take attendance also. This year, the lunch pictures are on lily pads. I found some small wooden frog shapes (they were at Deals, in a package with princess's, crowns, castles)...I glued the frogs to the end of a popsicle stick, and will write the student's name on the other end.

I have a weather frog that you dress for the weather each day. I have small folding chairs with frogs on them from Big Lots. I also have a frog folding chair (the kind you fold up into the bag)...I got it at Dollar General. I will use it for my "Power Chair". I also bought pillows that I am going to cover with frog material...for the reading center.

I have a frog with a welcome sign with it...it would be a frog you would stick in your flower garden...or outside..it is small...anyways, I am going to sit it on my desk to let kids know when it is ok to approach my desk. (When I am working one on one with a student, the welcome sign will be towards me....when I am not busy with a student, the welcome sign will be facing the class). Not sure if that will curb the interruptions, but I am going to give it a try!

I also created "Frogopoly"...like the Homeworkopoly. This will be a behavior incentive for my class.

I will post pictures when I am finished with my classroom.

It sounds like you have some really great ideas. I have been working on decorating my room with the frog theme. If you saved the "Frogopoly" I would love a copy of it. My email is sdoverrisingstar.esc14.net.

Thanks so much. I am looking forward to seeing your pictures.

Thank you...for my Frogopoly, I used the Homeworkopoly templates...I just printed out the word Frogopoly using Publisher. I am also decorating the board with frogs, and naming the streets with that theme. (jump st., leap lane, hop avenue, ???etc.)

I have been teaching grade 2 for 12 yrs. I have always used frogs. When I have time I'll share how it chose me. I'm interested in any ideas you have using frogs, especially frogopoly. Contact me at sosbornehart.k12.ga.us

Frogs everywhere

I recently retired from teaching special education. I used frogs throughout my classroom, in just about every way imaginable. When I had to clean out my room for the new teacher, I found myself with about 100 frogs from the teeny tiny to rather large. Is anyone interested in a collection of frog stuff? Contact me at gejersbcglobal.net
