Need third grade sports themed BB

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am almost done setting up my classroom, and am doing a sports theme this year. I have about 10 feet up bulletin board space that is empty, and I'm not sure what to do with it. I already have a helper board, reading board, one with all the kids on it, calendar, birthday, and good work board. Any ideas of what else I could use, and a catchy sports title for it? I have all kinds of sports ball cutouts, and also have pom poms, a tennis racket, and my husband is bringing an old basketball jersey (he's a coach) home that I could incorporate somehow. Ideas of what to do with this space that ties in and would be good for third graders? Thanks.

a behavior/rule board with the caption "Don't Strike Out!". Or you could do something like a student of the week with the caption "MVP". Just a few ideas...wow 10 feet of empty space...lucky you!!

I did a sports theme one year. For my behavior board I had a huge baseball diamond (green paper background with light brown diamond). On each base I posted a team rule (4 all together) I titled it "Hit a Homerun Every Day!"

You could have the students decorate baseball player characters as themselves and place them around the field. You could place one of yourself on the pitche'rs mound

I have an "MVP" board for my student of the week.
I have a board for writing that says "Grand Slam Work!" (baseball)
I have a homework tracker board that says "Slam Dunk Success!" (basketball)
I have a math fact board "We've ACED Our Facts!" (tennis)
I have a reader's area (library) called the "Reader's Dugout"
I have an AR tracker for reading called "AR Stadium" (football)
I also have my conduct & effort area called "The Penalty Box" (hockey)
My classroom helper area is called "Team Players with a Goal!" (soccer)

Maybe these ideas will help you out... good luck!
