Help with Construction titles

I am doing a construction/kids at work theme in my classroom this year. I need an idea/title for my birthday board and AR board.

Also, I am using a time clock and pocket chart for my attendance so I need an idea for my job board or another for my attendance.

Thanks

Hi Connorsmom,

I'm busy at work to trying to get some ideas for decorating. I am using the following (at least right now...)

job board--Hardworking Helpers

b-day board--Birthday Blueprints

I like the time clock idea...that's so cute

I used this theme last year

Reading corner----Building Reading Skills One Brick at a Time

Jobs----tool box(job name) and hammer(student name) I can't remember the title, but it had something to do with using good tools.

Thanks for the great ideas!

Since my orginal post, I came up with something for my birthday board so I'll share.

I'm making a big paint can which will say "Happy Birthday" on it and then make paint brushes for each month to put the kids names on.

Along with construction you could incorporated transportation, mapping, duties (foreman and such), tools, etc.

These are great ideas. Our whole campus is doing "Futures Under Construction" so I am trying to build (no pun intended) a long list of ideas for various things. Science-scientific method, life cycles, etc. general goal oriented motivational, math fact memory, all kinds of stuff. Plus I'm the instructional specialist so I want to provide some ideas to our teachers. Anything you guys have to offer would be greatly appreciated. I will pass on any that I come up with.

Also, if you are doing this theme and have a Target nearby, check out their dollar bin. They have had some small orange cones and so has Dollar Tree if you have one of them there-they had some that were about 8-10 inches as well as some 3 inch ones with words on them like "WOW" and "good job", etc.

The Target Dollar bin also has some wooden train /car sets right now and with that there is a small "action figurelike" set with tiny cones and a barricade that could be used on a bulletin board or in a play center for younger grades.

Another great deal is trainerswarehouse.com they have yellow and white caution tape like they use to block of an area under construction (much like the police line tape) that says "Learning In Progress"
Oriental Trading has plastic construction hats for cheap and many other things if you search for "construction" on orientaltrading.com
If you have a "Card and Party Factory" there, they have alot of this stuff too. Walmart sells a plain canvas tie waist apron like a carpenter would wear to hold a bunch of nails and they are on ly 97 cents. You can buy iron on transfer paper (cheaper at Big Lots but available at Walmart too) and print a "Kids Under Construction" logo that you could reverse, print and iron on to all of them.

I used construction for our VBS this year too so I know I have more stuff and I"ll add it as I think of it.
