Where do you get your various reading passages to accompany your topics? What are your best websites that you have found that have good passages to pair with your ready story/topic of study?

readworks.com is a wonderful site for passages. It's a free website and has passages at all different grade/reading levels. It's my "go to" resource for tutoring. Hope this helps.

These sites offer reading passages as well.
If you're one to one or have a small group set of i-pads/ chrome books, read theory offers an opportunity to assign the same topic/ article at differing reading levels for differentiation and more student-centered learning.

I LOVE newsela.com! Current events articles that have CC aligned questions. Each article also has the ability to chose the appropriate Lexile level for each student. So the entire class can read the same content at various reading levels. Powerful!

I agree with the pp about newsela.com ~ I use it all the time for articles that connect to our Science and Geography curriculum.

I also use www.commonlit.org. It is a free website with fiction and nonfiction articles that are sorted by theme. You can select a theme and then the appropriate grade level and there are several articles that appear. Each article has both text dependent and discussion questions that accompany the text. Excellent articles ~ one of my favorite sites!!!
