I am looking for fun/different activities for the book Loser by Jerry Spinelli. I will be using it for a novel study with my 5th graders. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I know that in the fourth grade last year, the teachers chose some good, descriptive sentences from the book. They then had the students illustrate them. The pictures they created were amazing and really helped drive home the idea of how writers use descriptive words to paint a picture in the head of the reader.
