Administration jobs in a different state

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am currently in an Ed leadership program here in Florida. I have been teaching in a catholic school. When I am done I wish to move back to Indiana and get an assistant principal position there. However, I am beginning to think that it might be better to move back up there and teach for at least a year while I finish my masters program here in Florida, get certified in Florida and then transfer the certification to Indiana.
Will it be difficult to get an admin position in a public/catholic school system without having taught in the system prior to that? Do most systems promote from within or are they receptive to outside candidates? I know where I am most of the Assistant Principals and Principals come from within the system. IHow is it where you are?

In CA we have both...from in and out of state. But also my friend moved from CA to be an admin in Colorado.
