Summer job outside of teaching?

Hi,

I am a special ed. teacher near Chicago and I will definitely need a summer job. I'm not sure if I want to do my district's summer school program, as I would most likely be put with the kids I taught this year and I need a break!

I have talked with another teacher (who teaches younger kids) about possibly job sharing, but I was wondering if there were any non-teaching summer jobs that you would recommend? If any of you have had a low stress summer job that still allows you relaxation time, please let me know!

My district got rid of summer school due to budget cuts several years ago. I miss it greatly! The money was great and it still felt like a break due to the greatly reduced hours/schedule and there's no paperwork, meetings, other obligations, etc. I've looked for a different job every year and just can't get past feeling that minimum wage or close to it just isn't worth my time. I was making $40 an hour in summer school, and in any other part time job I'd be making about $9 an hour. I have a friend that works at starbucks in the summer and on breaks and she really likes it because it's so low stress compared to teaching. I just can't get past the low pay though.
