Child Development Association Certification

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I am currently the head preschool teacher at my facility and have been working towards my CDA certification. I am wondering if there is anyone who has gone through the process. I am finishing up my professional portfolio with so many concerns.

I am not sure if any of my family resources are legitimate.
also, they ask me to list some early childhood associations and i'm not sure what those would be.

Can anyone help?

I went through the process a number of years ago.

You have to become a member of a professional association. Some states have their own Early Childhood Association or you can join NAEYC -- National Association for the Education of Young Children.

If you are taking the classes -- I would think that one of your instructors should be able to answer questions for you. Years ago they had a handy guide -- I think it's online now -- that answered questions and gave examples as well.
