I began to think I'd never see this day, but I am officially done with chemo as of 3 weeks ago today. That final link has been broken in my loooooong paper chain! We met with my oncologist on Monday who thought all my numbers looked exactly where he hoped and today had a check up with my primary care doctor who was equally pleased. Tomorrow I meet again with the oncology radiologist who will talk with me about next steps, but for now I am content to feel stronger and better than I have in many months. I will have 6 weeks of daily radiation and then my treatment should be finished for now. I will still meet with my oncologist every six weeks and have a few things he'll be following, but I had to write and let you know how much your prayers, cards, laughs, loving messages and support have meant to me. YOU have eased my way through this challenge and I am so grateful to you. Please know you are in my prayers, too, both in gratitude and for your health and continued presence in my life.
Oh yeah, and Panama and Costa Rica were just what the doctor ordered! Relaxing, sunshine, beautiful scenery, no responsibilities. Ahhhhhh.......
Anansi and travelingafar.....and everybody else out there dealing with health issues....thank you for being so strong and for being such great role models. I know it hasn't always been an easy road, but we're all in this together and we share your hopes and dreams and pray for healing and great days ahead!
You made it through and stayed positive all the way. I'm so happy you had a great trip to Costa Rica and Panama. You certainly deserved it. Even while going through this yourself, you were so encouraging to others on here and it was greatly appreciated. Yay for you!
