New to Early Childhood

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I have taught 3rd grade for two years. Next year my school is wanting to move me to the Pre-K position. I am super excited about the move honestly. I have a degree in elementary education. I tested into early childhood, so I'm qualified to teach it. My problem is I'm not sure where to start as far as looking for lesson plans. How to even write lesson plans. I've been looking for books, and classes to take but haven't found anything. Does anyone recommend any books, or blogs to follow that would help get me prepared. Thanks!

Pre-K Pages and Prekinders are two great websites with loads of ideas for age appropriate, hand-on learning. Welcome to the world of Pre-K! I love teaching this age group. They are so eager to learn and curious about everything.

Preschool Plan-It is a great site. You can join and get one free theme a month, or join the tribe and get 4 themes a month. Check it out I love the web site.

Heidisongs.com for letters and sounds, numbers and sight words

thisreadingmama.com as well as themeasuredmom.com for worksheets, etc.

Sparklebox uk.com for graphics.

I think prekinders.com and prekpages.com were already mentioned.

I never heard of Pocketful of Preschool site. THANKS!

When I taught Pre-K, a favorite was No Time for Flashcards
