How do you organize your center materials?

I need a better system. I feel like I forgot to use a lot of great stuff this year because it isn't organized as well as I'd like. I have 10 drawers that house our "may-do" activities for language arts, and I like to change about 3-5 of them out each week. Right now most of the stuff we use is in one cabinet, and divided by type of activity (stamping stories, blank books, letter beads, letter stamp activities, etc.) What I really want is to have it organized so I can just change some out each week without having to think about it. Not that I want to be stuck in a rut, I just want to "work smarter, not harder". Most of my stuff is uber organized so this one is bugging me a bit! Thanks for any ideas!

I teach thematically (super old school, I know!). I organize by month instead of by activity. So October for example, contains Balloon Fiesta, State Fair, New Mexico, Neighborhoods, pumpkins, etc.

This probably isn't helpful....

We do a lot of thematic teaching, too. Do you keep your center stuff by theme, then?

Right now I have a large plastic tub for each month with thematic extras and decor. I also have a file cabinet with monthly files and all of the books that go with them. But then we have a cupboard with all of our language arts games and manipulatives, one with all of our may-do/center stuff, one for math, and one for art. So stuff is really well organized but it's not always together if that makes sense.

Yes, I have everything filed chronologically. Literally everything I have that goes with each topic is in one place. Math is a separate entity.

Hmmm...maybe if tried having things organized I would remember I have them and actually use them🙄 Right now my system is cram it into any space I can find.
Do you have shelves? Cabinets? Tubs?

My teammate has letter boxes where she stores all of the materials for a particular sound.

I have folders where I keep the paper copies. Manipulatives are stored my closet, sorted by activity. Ex.-dice are stored with other dice, sound boards are stored with other sound boards. It only takes me a few minutes to pull the materials each week.

This video is for math station organization. You can modify it for reading. This person is my hero!

I have two binders divided by months with my masters in them. I also do themed Centers and this keeps everything neat and organized. It has been a process but this school year seemed to be the smoothest one yet as far as keeping centers organized.
