Favorite 4th Grade Reading Street stories?

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I'm new to teaching 4th grade & teaching Reading Street. It looks like there's too many stories for me to cover in the book and that some of them are at the 5th and 6th grade level (according to AR). So, which ones are your favorites (or the favorites of kids)? Do you have any stories that you routinely skip over? I want to do 1-2 novel studies this year too so I know I just won't have time to do all of the stories. Does it matter if I go out of order either? For example I saw there's a story that'd fit in with MLK Jr. Day in Unit 6 - and there's no way we'd be there in January! Thanks in advance for your help and advice!!

Kids have liked Harry Houdini doing magic tricks etc and Yellowstone national park. Our kids did a little research project on one of the areas of Yellowstone after. Honestly, I don't love any of the stories in the book. We went out of order and just picked the ones that looked best.
