Does anyone use scholastic storyworks for a reading program? Any feedback would be helpful. If not, what are you using?

In the past, I have used Storyworks- along with Scholastic News - as my reading program. I loved the resources and how the skills were based on the CCSS. It was more difficult to outline the year.

We have adopted the Lucy Calkins Reading Units of Study. While there are many wonderful things, I do still supplement with Scholastic News.

I really had no idea that you could use it as a reading program. I don't have it for my grade level (3rd) but I think it was ordered for us. Our 4th grade teachers had it last year, but now I will have to find out how they used it. I had assumed it was like a Time for Kids or Scholastic News.
We don't really have a reading program per say - we are using Fundamentals next year for reading and writing.

Our school district uses the Journeys reading program. I like it for the most part. The stories are really good.

We use Lucy Calkins. I know there are a lot of Lucy haters out there, but I actually like it because I teach in the workshop model and it lends itself to students to be able to read what they want within reason.
