Clip to ScrapBook #1

Hi everyone. New to 5th grade this year. Looking for suggestions for timing/schedule of literature circles. (How often do they meet and for how long? Would once a week for 45 min be too short?)

Also do you have any resources for lit circle jobs/handouts that you especially like?

Thanks in advance!

There are saved threads filed under Literature Circles in the Reading / Language Arts folder. Also, online look for Laura Candler (sp.) She has free resources I have used.

I thought my literature circle jobs were getting a little stale. I read this: http://themiddleschoolmouth.blogspot.c om/2013/07/dystopian-literature-circles.html?m=1[/URL]
I found a new approach and the students responded well to having choices. It may work for you.
