Literacy easel help!

I am a literacy teacher with a small room and often need to travel room-to-room. I desperately want one of those mobil readin/writing easels. My school will purchase one for me if I come up with a written proposal as to why it would benefit the children that I service. Other than the obvious benefits for me to have one, I need to come up with a 75+ word proposal describing the benefit to the children. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

  • As you write on the whiteboard children see sounds becoming words and words becoming sentences.
  • Children can write on the board-engaging them kinesthetically. They can write words, circle words, etc
  • A small easel gives them a central focus point during your lesson.
  • If you also use chart paper on the easel the students can revisit their work when you go to them the next time.
  • Shared writing
Good luck- my easel isn't on wheels but I love it.
