Learning Targets/Criteria for Success in resource setting

Clip to ScrapBook #1

My first school was really, really into learning targets and criteria for success, but my previous P at my current school didn't really care about that sort of thing. Last year, the district made a requirement that we start posting learning targets. This year, we're supposed to be adding in criteria for success. I haven't done this in six years and for the life of me can't remember what kind of things I used to write .

The curriculum that the classroom teachers use comes with targets, so I'm the only one that has to write my own (I don't have any curriculum). I teach K-3 resource. The majority of my day is spent teaching phonics skills. My learning target is usually something like, "I can read and spell words with l blends." We are often working on the same target for a week or more- for those of you that have to do this, do you make the criteria for success something that should be accomplished by the end of that day's lesson or by the end of the unit? Any examples to share?
