What do you use for online assessment of your k students? I am looking for student led and done assessments online where the teacher does nothing but make sure the student signs in.

iReady and iStation fit the bill, though I don't love either of them. Lexia gives formative assessment data.

I don't like computer assessments for K because the hand-eye coordination to use a mouse is lacking. They get frustrated and just click the first thing they can get the cursor to land on.

I agree with Zia. In fact, we do 95% of our assessments one on one. I need to know what they know, not if they know how to take a test or use a mouse or follow oral directions.

We have a teacher who may be fudging her results. We all do one on one assessments. I'd like to put the years and years long rumor to the test and admin wants it done. Our kids do Imagine Learning and ST Math every day so the mouse skills and finger touch on the screen skills are developed.

Then admin should do 1:1 testing and leave you out of it! Yikes, that's a can of worms.

Still, it's not your place to check up on a co-worker. If admin has doubts about the veracity of her testing, it is up to admin to sort it out. That's not something that should be delegated.

Of course it's not my place. K through 1 teachers are looking for something online to collect data and stop the years old complaints of tampered with data.

Couldn't the teacher log in as the student and then fudge the students work?
