Clip to ScrapBook #1

The jury's still out on the new P. I still don't trust him, but he observed me this week, and at my post observation conference told me how great he thought everything was. The write up was glowing. I feel more peaceful that he'll just leave me alone and let me teach the way I know. We will still meet with our financial planner to see if there's a big difference in whether I leave in 2 or 4 years, but I feel like another hurdle with him has been passed.

I expect to have a calm year, as I have a wonderful, small class. (Only 14 this year- wow!) I'll see what changes he brings next year, and I'll be prepared to make my decision.

Thanks for all your support and input. I'll be with you sooner than later.

Isn't it something how much p's control our lives and moods? I'm glad you feel better and have that out of the way.

Glad your observation went well. I would feel like I died & was in Heaven with only 14 students. Enjoy your sweet, small class.

As much as I tell myself he had no real power over me because I can leave when I want to, I still want the approval of the person writing my evaluation. Maybe it’s pride, or my ego? I will have no trouble leaving when I decide, and am getting more detached. But I want to do an excellent job for as long as I’m there, and it feels good to be validated. Oh, well. I’ll see how the rest of the year, and next year play out. Thanks.

I am glad your observation is already over and went well! I think you are wise to meet with your financial planner about your retirement. Good luck with that!
