When you download the Remind app, can you access it on a computer, too, or just on a phone?

Also, if it's on a phone, does the phone number stay anonymous?

thanks!

1) Yes, you can download it to a computer.
2) It’s not exactly an anonymous number. The parents can see a phone number, but it’s a phone number given to you, separate from your real number. They can send messages to your Remind number, but not your personal number. If you get a message it will show up on your Remind app.

I like Remind, I prefer Dojo:

Can parents send endless texts? I had that problem on Bloomz and could not find a way to turn it off.

I use Remind. I have codes for each of my classes and one for parents/kids who are going on our big spring field trip. I send a homework reminder at 2:45 every day we have homework. That way the kids get it before they leave. They aren't supposed to have their phones out during school without permission, but I tell them they have permission to check their phones at 2:45 if they have me for class. I message parents about things like sending in trip payments or coming to meetings.

One year I required all of my kids and/or parents to sign up for the class messages. If they didn't have any access to Internet or a phone, I excused it. Otherwise, they signed up.

I tell them that after 4:00 I'm on my time, and I'll answer when I have time. Might be immediately. Might be the next morning. Just depends. So far I've not had issues with parents or kids bugging me with endless texts. It's usually quick stuff.

I like that I can access it from the website, the app, or text. I type messages on my desktop, but I use my iPad (app) or phone (text) at home.

I love Remind. Parents never have access to your phone number. I teach 2nd grade and all my parents signed up this year. I can send class, group, and individual messages.

With remind, you can make it where parents can text you back or you can turn that off. I turn off replies on weekends.
