3 1/2 hour breakfast

Clip to ScrapBook #1

My friends and I had a 3 1/2 hour breakfast this morning. We caught up on all the goings on in each of our lives. My one friend has been retire a couple years and has many hobbies like I do. Our other friend who retired with me has been subbing a lot including the gal's room who was murdered. She keeps busy that way. She seemed much more stressed than us. I wanted out of that feeling. I really think I won't be subbing.

that I did not want to sub. At least not right away. I thought I might tutor but it has been a year and a half and I have not done that either. I guess I like retirement too much.

No more subbing for me. I subbed for three maternity leaves after I retired. It was exhausting and took so much more time than I expected. The really bad news was that the extra income put me in a higher income tax bracket and I had to pay tons of taxes.

I love being retired and connecting once a month with former coworkers. It's good to hear what they're doing and we keep up with changes in Medicare and other old folks stuff. I also have coffee once a week with district teachers and we keep up with the district changes and happenings. Love reconnecting with my teacher friends.

I don't think I'm the subbing type. I know I like everything lined out and I like to know exactly what I'm doing and when. I've seen some of the sub plans that my fellow teachers leave. Yikes!!!!
