Have you felt this way?

I have flying by the seat of my pants lately. I get to school, scold myself for not having x y z. All these thoughts of a game plan form in my head...but I get home, I'm tired...and I plain give up. I don't want to do anything. I try to reason with myself: do this for thebaby, husband, and I just can't do it. It happens all over again. Had this happened to you?

And it's a vicious cycle! I feel worse when I would make a promise to myself and end up breaking them. So, I did something different. I just tried to do small things one at a time. I know I can't do it all and I'm not a multi-tasker. More power to you!

Iím no psychologist, but seems symptomatic of a mental overload. Time to cutback before you have a real breakdown. Best wishes!

I've been running the same way since September...I'm in the "I'm just getting by" mode..I'm exhausted when I get home and I NEVER do what I plan to do at home..and tomorrow I will be cursing myself..again.
Somehow I get through each day...but I'm so insecure about my lessons-even though it seems to go in a typical way...I'm paranoid that my TA's are secretly talking about how terrible I am...am I? Or am I paranoid? Yet...I'm just exhausted...I need a long weekend. Maybe it's not as bad as I think...maybe

I used to take pleasure in being prepared and doing my best work. Now I go to plan, or prep, and have an overwhelming feeling of "what difference does it really make anyway?"

I often felt pulled in four different directions between work, home, taking care of mother, and myself. No one was getting the best of me. I decided my family came first, work second, and everybody had to pitch in in the other areas.

Learn what is basic and important for school. Delegate what you can. Stop volunteering for extra jobs if possible, learn to prioritize. And as one gracious P told me " you're not going to be their only teacher. You don't have to teach them everything."

My great plans all seem to go by the wayside at the end of a long tiring day.

I love this quote! I think we try to do it all, but we really don't have to. Others have come before us and others will come after us.
