Our school just found out that we made huge increases on our state scoring system. In three years, we have jumped over 20 points. Our principal asked our Leadership to think of ideas for a staff reward for the hard work that we've put in. We already get 20+ days of jeans. What would you want as a reward?

Our P used to buy us lunch. Pizza or catered from local Mexican place.

Once, he hired a masseuse and a sub and we all got 15 minute massages!

I'd want to wear whatever I felt like on any day.

our principal bought each of us a drink from Sonic. It was a small thing but still very much appreciated.

One year, our P had an ice cream truck come to school on a development day. Big hit! He also made us a soup lunch with three different homemade soups and cookies all made by him.

Not my school, but a small one near us...P gave teacher 1/2 day off at Christmas to do shopping while everyone else was working. She covered each room. Subs could be used?

On the last day before Winter Break, organize a Movie Day in the gym that is supervised by parents and administrators/aides so teachers have 1.5 hours to prep without students. Then have someone make a run a coffee run to bring back everyone's favorite hot beverage.

Our principal gave this as a prize last year, and it was a huge hit. She also gave Starbucks cards, colored copy paper, and 1/2 day off. Congratulations on your hard work!

How nice. Our p sent out a teacher survey last week and the first 10 people that filled it out (unbenownst to any of us that there would be a reward) got an extra prep the following day.

A long lunch is always a big hit at my school. The principal and AP and volunteers from PTO cover our lunch and a longer recess and give us a long lunch (usually about 1.5 hours). We have enough time to go out and enjoy a lunch with our team.

Last year our P and VP came around with a cart and on it was pop, cold water, chips, candy bars. It was really nice and the day it came to me was a day I was at my breaking point.

Made all the difference to me.
