This is my favorite one:

I have a very simple rule. Iím not allowed to watch any sports on TV unless Iím on my stationary bike or otherwise working out. Tired of biking? Off goes the TV. No couch potato tolerance.
I've done that for years.

Great article. Lots of wisdom here. Iím trying to declutter, really declutter.

Hereís one Iíve already started:
Quote:
Sometimes I canceled social plans that revolved around food and drinks.
Iíd rather miss a social occasion where Iíll overindulge (yes, my problem of self-control). Easier for me to pass and offer friends a healthier alternative for another time.

Hereís something I learned. Invite your friends to exercise with you. When DH was ill, I hired caregivers so I could walk and run an errand every morning. I told my friends my schedule and I was surprised by their willingness to walk with me. Even though DH is gone now, I continue to walk in the morningsóin fact, Iíve upped my distance. My friends are still joining me. Iím amazed by their loyalty, but I also realize exercising while chatting is quite painless.

And, sorry to be so long-winded, I love the advice to get outside in the morning. It really does perk me up.
