Want to help me buy a Keurig?

I've donated my old coffee maker to Goodwill. Just couldn't quite get the coffee I really wanted.

I'm looking at Keurigs, but wow are there a lot!

There's just 2 of us, so I won't be making a big bunch of coffee each morning.

Is there a model you recommend?

TIA

We went from a Keurig to a grind and brew and honestly, I will probably never go back. There is only two of us and I still think it is worth it. I know that was not the response you were looking for, but just a suggestion!

Just 2 of us as well, but I DONT recommend the cute little single brew Keurig that comes in all the cute colors. It was so cute and I so wanted it to be the one.
We bought that first. You have to pour water in for each cup each time. It was a PIA for us. I returned and bought a bigger Keurig that we love. Be sure and register your Keurig and save receipts. Their customer service is amazing.

I can't help you with a Keurig - I have never had a cup of coffee that I actually liked from a Keurig!

We have a Ninja coffee bar and it is perfect for us. You can make one cup, a travel cup, 1/2 a pot, or a full pot by just flipping a switch. You just measure out the coffee ( no pods for landfills!) but you don't have to measure out the water.

It is convenient when just I want coffee, and very convenient when both DH and I want coffee, we don't have to run two pods through. Plus, when we had company over the holiday, we could make a whole pot of coffee without having to drag out another coffee maker.

We have this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Keurig-K55-K-...eywords=keurig

We've had this one for over a year now, and dh and I both use it every single day. It's held up great and we've been very pleased!

I started drinking coffee once we bought a keurig. I like the convenience of it. My DH prefers a stronger blend so we each buy our own brand of Kcups.
The one pot was a pain.
I like the consistency of the strength of coffee. I prefer a medium blend of coffee and that is what I get with my brand of coffee choice and water level choice. Another plus is I donít drink too much coffee in a day. I will have one sometimes 2 cups/day not a pot.
You can purchase a reusable plastic pod and fill it with ground coffee instead of buying the convenient keurig coffee pods. Like all coffees there are brands I like and brands I donít like. Current fav is the Green Mountain -Breakfast Blend. Also enjoy Hawaiian Kona.

After several Keurig coffee makers pooped out on me, I bought a Cuisinart that uses K-cups. I love it. I've had it for about 2 years with no problems. It holds more water than the Keurig so you don't have to refill it as often. It has a cleaning button and a hot water button for tea.

I have the one that TeacherMeg posted for a few years already and haven't had any problems. DD and I use it daily and some days making multiple cups of coffee and/or hot water for tea/hot chocolate.

There are only two of us in my house and I own this one: https://www.target.com/p/keurig-174-...elect=17077792
I have had it for a few years and haven’t had any issues

You can also buy the carafe so that you can brew a pot of coffee versus just a cup

We have had a Keurig coffee maker for almost 10 years. We use our Keurig several times a week because we also own a high quality drip maker.

I think it makes a great cup of coffee. We buy most of our dark roast kcups at Costco but we are picky about the brands we purchase. Buying high quality Kcups makes a big difference just like buying high quality coffee beans.

Here is one tip to make your Keurig last a long time. After awhile a Keurig can get wonky or stop working. Dont mistake it for being done and needing to be replaced. Instead you need to occasionally unplug it and let the device reset itself. This is similar to turning off your Ipad or Iphone when they start acting weird. Doing this should make your Keurig last for many years like ours.

Can you test one first?

As a single person, I love the idea of a keurig, but I've honestly never had a good cup of coffee from one. I don't even like strong coffee, but all the keurig cups I've had have been watery and bitter. I have tried many varieties of k-cups. I'd love a great single serve machine though, because with just me I feel like I waste a lot of coffee with my traditional drip machine. Even if it does make a good cup of coffee. I have a four cup brewer and I drink about 2 cups a morning. I usually end up freezing coffee cubes for ice coffee, or dumping the rest .

I have the same one that others posted. I rarely buy Kcups. I use the refillable pod with my own coffee. I think it tastes greató I drink anywhere from 4-6 cups a day

We just got the Keurig Compact from Walmart for $49.99 and it's great! I have used both pods and the refillable cup and all of the coffee has been very good and convenient to make. It seems that it holds enough water for about 4 large cups before having to be refilled.

I stopped wasting money on pods and use a refillable pod now. So much cheaper.

We've had ours for years, and use it everyday. It does matter what kind of coffee you get. Cheap kcuos are weak. We like San Fransisco Coffee Co. Pods. We can usually get them online for $.31 a cup. Of course using the reusable cups is the most economical, maybe 9 cents a cup. It's so convenient to use the Keurig, and I don't waste coffee anymore like I did when we made pots of coffee. I do need to descale it with white vinegar once in a while, but it's easy and there are videos to show you how.

I think Mr. Coffee has their own brand that uses k cups. Anyway, I really like ours and will probably get another one when this one dies.
