I make a similar bag, but I have a sewing machine and find it to be very simple to sew the bottom seam. ThenI stitch across the corners to reinforce them. Simple and useful.
good idea. . . thanks for sharing. My mom actually removed my old flannel sheets from the Good Will bag and told me to use them for the back of my future quilts.
I love the idea! I am currently working with a third grade teacher that doesn’t want to use book boxes for independent reading . Maybe she and I can have her kids bring in their own T shirt to make a book bag! It looks like something third graders could do. I believe you (1956BD) taught third grade— what do you think?
That should work as long as the students already know how to tie their shoes. If they do not know how to tie shoes that will have difficulty. They will work for book storage if the shirt is big enough.
