School shooter training

I found this via Wear Red for Ed. The comments from teachers were pretty divided.

The video terrified me. If I get a chance to take this training I probably will, but it's going to be an emotionally draining day.

I'm really concerned though that you have an option to play through as the shooter. I really want to know why. And I'm concerned about sick people playing through that way for fun.

Sorry to vent a little but I needed to process and the LAST thing I wanted to do was show this to a loved one.

Honest question: Do you think it helped?

We had this in my district. Honestly, I felt it was helpful. Yes, it's difficult but it really forces you to think about what you would do? What are your options? Do you hunker down and hide or is it safer to get out of the building? Do you have something that is a potential weapon? It is upsetting though.
