I was offered a position scoring a state test. At first I thought it was 40 hours/ week, but not I realize it's 40 hours for the duration of the project. It's about a month that they designate for the scoring. During that month I am due to have a baby. I have two older children who are in school all day and I realize the baby will sleep most of the day, so I don't feel overwhelmed with how my life is going to change, if anything I think this is great timing because except for the 2 or 3 days that I'll be in the hospital, I should have a lot of free time. Is it going to be ok so not score for a few days?

Not sure how Pearson works, but ETS allows you to choose what shifts you want to work. They do ask that you commit to a certain number of hours, but it is over a period of time. The most important thing I can think of is that you make sure that you can give it your undivided attention while scoring - if you make too many mistakes, they won't offer you more time (this is how ETS works)

Did you have to apply for ETS? If so, what was the process?

I hope you were able to figure out time in between all the chaos to make the hours for scoring. If you did, could you let us know how it worked. I have never scored tests for Pearson, but it sounds like something I can definitely do. If you have any insight I am definitely interested.
