Do you think they should be on social media and up to date with all of the latest things students are into?

Just curious.

In general, there's school staff I know that are on social media not to be friends with students per se but just so they're in the loop. This is to help monitor any bullying online. Mind you, these adults are not on it all the time and are acutely aware. There one prince I know who needs to be logged in but again not necessarily on "active" mode. They have a more private account separate from the public or what's meant for school.

Yes they should be up to date with all the latests students are into. Social media is different, I don't know how they can be in the loop without friending students and I don't think that is acceptable. Maybe if they friend students but aren't active on any of the sites.
