How would you spend $940 in your classroom? I already have a large classroom library that I have personally purchased, so don't need much in the way of books. I teach 4th grade.

Wow! How lucky for you. I agree with Klarabelle on the printer and ink. I miss having one in the room.

How about some Classroom games for inside recess? Legos, board games, Jenga, etc.
What about subscription s like super teacher, Edhelper?
Or magazines for students?

classroom items

personal laminator and pouches
magazine subscriptions for the kids--my 4th graders loved them (I'd get parents to gift a subscription for the year)
personal dry erase boards and markers
math manipulatives

I agree with the indoor recess game items. Or stuff for outside depending on your recess situation--balls, jump ropes, cones or bases for playing kickball, sidewalk chalk, etc

something technology related---do you have smartboards? Maybe something related to that. or one of those microscopes that hooks up to your computer so kids can see and manipulate it better.

Pick a science topic that is lacking in "fun" stuff and stock up on kits or experiment supplies for that topic

I replaced my old rectangular tables with dry-erase tables. I like them because they have more space for seating for the older kids. It's also good for drawing on the table for sorts like plot structure. The only con is that they scratch easy, so you have to be careful with that.

You could also purchase class games. If the kids are good for the week, we spend the last 15 minutes of Friday playing a class game. Usually it's the giant Jenga blocks so everyone can play.

I just found out about this company "Simply Fun" that makes educational games. Maybe some of those for students who need extra practice on math or reading?
