My school is obsessed with PARCC, this is going to be huge. Literally, it is how we base everything.

I saw it. Mine is obsessed with MAP and could care less about PARCC. I look forward to seeing how the state of IL screws up this shift to PARCC to whatever they move to.

It's been weird, in my district we were all about ISAT, but once we switched to PARCC we never talked about the results. In fact, until I see it published in the paper, I have no idea how my kids did on PARCC.

Like Greyhound Girl, MAP has been gaining in importance in my district. We just had a big meeting about MAP last week.

After 20+ , I can't get excited about any of it. I'm over testing.

I am over it too. We talk about the results on almost a daily basis.

I'll give myself away but my school has won many big awards and it's a complete sham. We teach to the test.

Not in Illinois, but in Maine. We were part of SBAC, but the state pulled out after one year.

We are taking the new, EmPower for the third year. The state still does not have it's ducks in a row. We were told the first two years would not count toward anything (funding wise).

Now were were just told that they are going to look at the past three years to decide a school's status.

I saw this too. We look at our PARCC results and a person from the ROE comes in and discusses them with each grade level but that's about it. We're more focused on MAP and those results. From what I saw it sounds like it might be a little like MAP.

I can't even see the new test being ready for next year. I'm glad it's gone though.

My district is heavily MAP focused. We don't even bat an eye at the PARCC results... considering we don't even get the results until way into the next school year. How does that even help you? The results are pretty vague too.

It'll be interesting to see what we get next.
