Our school doesn't do any real field trips. Does anyone have a good resource for virtual field trips? I'm thinking science and social studies...

We did an african safari last year. We signed up for a live safari and they announced the name of our school at the beginning. We could send them any questions live to them and they answered them, using the student's name. The kids loved it!

I will ask my co-teacher for the link when I get to school on Monday. It may have been through Discovery Education, but I am not sure.

When I was in college I worked for an office that did something with making virtual field trips with the Field Museum. So that was over 20 ago But, a quick search showed they still do them. Might be something to check out.

And BTW, I want to teach at your school! I hate field trips!

Discovery ed has quite a few. They also offer live ones, but I haven't done one.

We are doing a virtual trip in a week. Basically watching videos of different areas/content visiting a green house.
