Clip to ScrapBook #1

Any have any good resources for a picture schedule/choice schedule. I have a student that parents think might be autistic. If so he is very high functioning. However, he does ask constantly when we are doing specific things. I was looking for simple pictures I could use to make a schedule for him so that he can see when things are.

I always have a visual schedule up...I just drew it on 3X5 cards and set it up each morning in a pocket chart. Easy peasy!

Zia, my issue is I'm not very artsy. I've tried drawing things and they don't come out the best.

I can't draw either...just stick figures. They're 5--they don't care!

Just Google the words you want to "schedule" and click 'images.' Choose the one you want and cut and paste to a document. That way you can increase or decrease the pictures as needed.

Afterwards, you can arrange them with or without words and cut them out.

The easiest way is too make them large and mount on a wall in the calendar area for the whole class--others may benefit as well.

If he needs his own, two ways I'd suggest: Put it in a word document and paste inside a file folder--one or both inside pages. Laminate the whole thing. OR, make it even smaller and run it horizontally no more than an inch or so tall. Cut it out and glue it to a flat ruler. Again, if you need more space, use both sides-one for a.m. and one side for p.m. Cover it with a strip of clear packing tape as lamination.

Good luck.
