WV teachers back to work

9 days of civil disobedience
Tens of thousands of protesters
0 violence
0 property damage
0 arrests

West Virginia teachers just taught the most important lesson of their careers, and the world was paying attention.

You left out...

You left out the effort made by the teachers to continue the free lunch program, on their own time. I wonder how many legislators lent a helping hand.

Living in a no strike allowed state, it was wonderful to watch teachers being empowered! Thank you!

I'm so proud of the West Virginia teachers. Not only did they get a raise, but it extends to all state workers.

Arizona is in the beginning stages of planning a walkout day. We are the lowest paid in the nation, in a right to work state. We'll all wear red tomorrow to show solidarity.

I am a retired WV teacher. Many of us were at the food banks and lunch locations helping out. We also prepared food for the teachers on the line. There was one Senator who felt that if teachers could provide food for their students during a strike, they didn't need money.

Iím proud to be a West Virginia teacher! This is the second strike of my career. I was also on the picket line in 1990.

I'm so glad for you. We need more teachers in more states to follow your lead.
