So pretty.
It is gorgeous.
I really do like your scarf.
But not enough to start wishing for winter.

I, unfortunately, don't get on this board very often but I love it when I do! Can you tell me how you made your scarf. Is it knitted? Did you weave it? Would love to hear about it and try to make one. TIA

It is woven. I made it on my ashford rigid heddle loom. It is so relaxing and rhythmic.

Not at all. I watched a few YouTube videos and was off and running. My only problem is I tend to pack the yarn too tightly when Iím stressing.

Can't wait to try it! I just checked Amazon for the loom. Do you know if their prices are okay or should I look around? What size do you recommend? They had 24" and 32". Do I need a stand? Does it use knitting yarn or something else. Sorry for so many questions!

Yes you can just use knitting yarn. Iím using up some of my stash right now. I have a 16Ē and 24Ē right now. Iíve been eyeing a 32Ē. It is definitely a rabbit hole. I would recommend a stand. It really helps with the larger looms. I donít have one for my 16Ē and it is ok but the 24Ē would be unwieldy. Amazon is good on prices. 2 other places are Woolery.com and paradisefibers.com.

When deciding on a size think about where you will put it. You need at least the size of the loom on either side for the shuttle.

That's a lovely project! Looks nice & warm. I never learned how to do anything like it. Is it knitting?
I tried to learn crochet as a kid, but was never good at it. Now I do machine embroidery and some quilting. My latest project was a quilted & embroidered storage cube with scalloped edges. I'd post a picture, but I have not been able to figure out how for years.

What fibers? I am a big fan of purple. You are making me want to pick up weaving again.
