Student Response for EA Math

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I need some help. I am reading and re-reading about my student responses for C2 and I am confused a little. It says that I should have no more than 12 pages for all of the student responses (2 from each activity). I teach math, so the activities don't have any writing parts in them, only pics of the work they did for Activity 1 (concrete work with counters), and then their work on their own handout (representational work with drawing circles to show their work). Am I missing something here? Or with me teaching math not supposed to have anything for "student response" except the student's work? I went in depth about each student in my WC. Please help me...

So it wants two work samples from six students?

It wants 2 work samples form 2 students. That is why I am confused. I will only have 6 pages max because my second sample is 2 pages for each student.

Do you also need to provide any type of assignment sheet or grading sheet? I found that my student work samples were only a page or two long, but I also had to include an assignment sheet and rubric (ELA). But sometimes I didn't use all 12 pages for the work samples. I think for one student it was only 10 pages long and the other was 11.

I was thinking about it over the day. I could have 2 sheets for each student for activity 1 (4 sheets), and then 2 sheets for each student for activity 2 (4 sheets), but that would only be 8 sheets. They were given a handout and they had to use the handout to solve with manipulatives for activity 1. So for activity 1 the handout and the pic of their work. They were given a handout and a piece of computer paper to solve problems by drawing the circles for the second activity. So for activity 2 the handout and the work on the computer paper. I don't have rubrics and I don't have answer keys. So I am hoping that 8 sheets will be sufficient.

You could create these items.

I guess I could make up an answer key and submit it as a piece of the work samples. I have already done the activity and I have already written my WC. My AP is proofreading my WC as we speak because he is helping me narrow it down to 12 pages. I have 12 3/4 pages. I can get long winded.... I will needed to include that in my WC or not? But if it is an answer key would I include it in my Instructional Activity section because it is part of my Instructional Activity piece. Or in both places... This is so confusing!!!
