I am new to K this year and I am looking for good programs on You Tube for Kinders. I just found Number_____, can remember the name but the one where the numbers go out and solve problems . I am looking for anything worthwhile math or language related. Thanks!

Do you mean YouTube videos we like? The word "programs" kind of confused me.

I love love love the Scratch Garden channel. It's hilarious, well done, and educational. Okay, some of them aren't, but we need fun, too.

So far as programs go, I sometimes show old Reading Rainbow episodes--usually when I'm testing.

Oh yes - Scratch Garden is terrific!

I like the Miss Molly's sight word songs. They are mellow and great for when the kids are working.

I also like the old PBS program Between the Lions. Fantastic literacy show! They hit on all sorts of stuff - phonics, phonemic awareness, stories, letters, etc.

My kids love "Add like a pirate" and "Subtract like a pirate".

There are also some great Sesame Street compilations. We just watched a subtraction one that was so good! And I forget how funny Sesame Street is.

YES!!!

And I forgot about Between the Lions. My kids watched it when they were little. Thanks for the reminder, Sbkangas.

Check out Jack Hartman. He has a lot of videos on literacy and numeracy. The kids really enjoy them.

I use Total Sight Words to teach my students the sight words through multisensory instruction. I also play the videos during breakfast so they can watch and sing. I also use Jack Hartmann for math and science videos.

I just discovered Rock n Learn. I also like Simicrane and Happy Cultivated for stories. Number Blocks are also awesome. They are related to AlphaBlocks. Howard B Wigglebottom is good for social skills.
