I think it's one of two things: this board has fallen out of favor or candidates are procrastinating. If it's the first, okay, whatever. If it's the second, then hey y'all get it together and start posting your questions! As the beloved NBCoach says, PROCRASTINATION IS THE ENEMY!

I'm in the waiting phase right now. All my components are done and now the long wait until December! I don't feel I could give very good advice if I'm not certified at this point. Unless the candidates want advice on what not to do

I'm hoping more people find this board to help them out as it helped me tremendously during my Take 2.

yeah, i only give advice on components i've already received scores for. in my case, 1 and 2.

i know that NBPTS is done with processing most submitted components for 2019 because they've sent my state a notification that i've completed the process, which gives me clock hours/pd hours for maintaining my current certificate.

so very nervous about scores this dec. terrified that one of my videos might be too blurry or something, or that i completely misunderstood c4.

i worked hard, did the best i could, but this is still killing me.

Score release USED to be the Friday after Thanksgiving. When the new version came out (2014) score release went waaay out; I think I got my first set of scores Dec 17th. It's been coming earlier each year since then. I think expecting it early December is a good bet. Maybe even the first Friday of December. Yes, I'm an optimist! Rooting for you!

I just joined the board but it is definitely helping reading some of the questions people have. Our county has a cohort and we meet monthly and are given a homework assignment to do for the next month. We talked about 4 which I am still wrapping my head around, we just did component 2 and I did my first activity, and I am working on my HW which is 15 min video recording. I am glad I am practicing, because it will help for the final video recording with light...I still have to figure out how to get my students to not call me by name during the video though. I haven't started writing anything besides transcribing my HW video (I am using it for my REAL component#2). I am sure I will start asking lots of questions as I get into the analysis and reflection pieces. I am going for science AYA, but I was a writing minor in college so luckily I love throwing up on paper and then destroying it with red ink!!

Don't sweat that at all! They want an authentic glimpse into your teaching practice. How contrived would it be if no one said NAMES in a classroom?? Trust me, my kids said my name 3873474763767467464895 times. And I said kids' names. Just don't ever TYPE any surnames, school/district/city/state names and you're fine.

I am not alone! I submitted all components this time around and am so nervous/excited/insert basically all emotions. I have never counted down for December so hard in my life. lol. I found this sight a little late last year but better late than never! It was so incredibly helpful and wanted to thank everybody for all the help along the way. It was nice even reading the "I want to scream and throw my computer out the window' venting posts. I wish you all good luck!
