Hilarious, no. Disgusting, yes. The thought that an educator thought it would be OK to post something like that ANYwhere in the classroom is so gross.

That's ridiculous. Why would a teacher have that up? I agree that it's more disgusting than hilarious. Interesting that the mom commented that her daughter was asked to remove a confederate belt buckle at one point.

This part didn't surprise me at all

Of course she put it on FB. Why not just go directly to the administration?

I guess what I find hilarious is that

the very girl who was asked to remove a confederate belt buckle is the one who complained about being offended by a joke about the intelligence of people who like or display confederate flags. I'd like to know where that teacher is from, because if she is local, she is doorknob stupid. I wonder where that joke originated. It sounds like a risque comedian's joke. A person with such judgment put into a position where she does something like this?

What worries me is that no one has noticed before this that something is off here. Or is this the straw?

I agree, not only inappropriate, but downright disgusting! In my mind there are no words for this type of behavior. Its also upsetting that the mom put it on FB. She knew it was wrong, so why did she need the opinions of other parents?!?!

I an wondering about the motive of the girl too. Was she trying to get back at the teacher for having to remove her belt?

Exactly. It was a horrible move on the part of the teacher, but the reaction seems primed to strike by people who want revenge over resistance on the schools parts allow them to support the ideals of the confederacy publicly on their clothing.
