Championing women's rights, RBG made an impact for teachers in NJ. From The Washington Post...

"While teaching at Rutgers, she also began taking on cases on behalf of the New Jersey branch of the ACLU. She battled successfully for maternity leave rights for teachers in New Jersey, who previously faced the threat of dismissal when they became pregnant."

Thank you, RBG!

"My most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed," Ginsburg told her granddaughter just days before her death, according to NPR.

When I was a freshman in h s my wonderful English teacher was fired when she refused to resign when she started showing. Just a year or two before RBG. I hope all of you who are teachers and parents realize how she changed our lives.

She was a great justice and role model. I am particularly grateful to her for championing women's and workers' rights. RIP, Ruth.

I fervently hope we honor her last wish!

Thank you so very much Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

May you RIP Your Honor!

We all owe her a huge debt, and her memory needs to live on.
She hid her second pregnancy until she had tenure. I, too hope our next president is the one who names her replacement.

❤️❤️❤️RBG

She was a true champion of women's rights who was not afraid to speak up about anything! She will certainly be missed!

I am just gutted by her passing. When I saw a friend share the news last night....I have no words. May her legacy be our revolution. Thank you RBG.

I retired a year and a half ago and at that time still got questions from young teachers wondering about permanent status and when to have a child. It is an issue women have to still think about. I know a woman who just last year waited until she got her coveted promotion before getting pregnant. Unreal . Ruth was a gutsy lady who taught millions of women how to be the same.
