Snowman book report!

I wanted to share a snowman book report that I just came up with. Someone on here posted a cute idea of a winter bulletin board with the title, "It's Snow Secret, Reading is Cool." I took that on and came up with a project to go with it. Since the inspiration came from here, I thought I'd share.

Snowman idea

Hey there. I love snowman idea! I do something similar, but it's at school. I have the kids write the title on the hat, write a summary of the beginning on the back of the head, summary of the middle on the middle circle and the ending on the back of the largest circle on bottom. After they write the summary, they "dress" their snowman to represent the main character of the book. These are adorable. I have had Harry Potter snowman, Ramona snowman, and many more very cute ones. I attach string to these and hang them from the ceiling in January.

That was my BB title, It's Snow Secret...Reading is Cool! I am so glad to have been helpful.

What a cute idea. Another teacher shared a pumpkin home project for an idea similar to this one with me. The students were to read a book and choose a character from the book. They were given a pumpkin template and asked to turn the pumpkin into the character and complete an attached report about the book. There was a rubric sent home with the directions for the project. One student turned the pumpkin into the pigeon from Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus. It was really cute. Anyway, just thought I'd share! Maybe someone could use the idea next Halloween.

What a cute idea! I did a similar one I got from another teacher's website with a skeleton for a mystery book report. This is great and I will use it! Thank-you!

Love that you shared your project doc. Not exactly what I was looking for... but something to put back for later.
