Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas appropriate for 4th graders for Leap Day? I've been searching the internet and I am only finding things for the lower grades. Any input would be sooooo appreciated! Thanks

we're going to do is write a prediction about what our lives will be like during the next Leap Day in 2012. The kids will be in 8th grade. We'll seal the envelopes and send home for parents to put away somewhere.

We are also making a list of all the things that jump (leap) for our morning work!

We made a "Wheel of Leap" with a spinner on a piece of tagboard that can land on L, E, A, or P. The spinner will then choose an activity from jars to correspond with their spin...activities for L, E, A,and P. Things like, "Lood at another classmate without blinking," or "Air guitar" to your favorite solo. I'm also having everyone PLANT a seed in a peat pot. I have pretzels, licorice, apples, etc. for snacks throughout the day, also.
