gift for volunteer

I have a parent who has been a big help this year. She is always willing to help. I would like to give her a "thank you" gift at the end of the year but don't know what to give her. Does anyone have any ideas?

Flower pots and seed or bedding plants are always a hit. You could make a small steak with a hand cutout saying thank you for helping plant the seeds of learning, or something like that. You can also get a cheap clay pot and have the kids sign their names, or have them make hand or thumbprints on it. You could even make them green!

That's a really good idea!

I was going to suggest a basket of Bath and Body Works stuff.

A gift certificate to a restaurant would be good too.

Gift Idea

I was thinking about this for my homeroom mom who has been AWESOME! I am going to get her a gift certificate to get a one hour massage. A co-worker/friend has a friend who charges $35 for an hour. I thought this would be a great way to say thank you and relax.

I have done flowering plants and attached a note saying "Thank you for helping my students grow and blossom this year!". I also include a gift certificate to a local nursery.

I have also done this- I get a tub of popcorn (you just stick in the micro). I fill it with a gift card to a local movie rental place, movie type candy, pop and a gift cert. to a pizza place.
