Help!! Talent Show Ideas!

So our principal has decided that we are going to do a school-wide talent show next week. Each classroom has to come up with something to do for 7 minutes. We are using class time to practice this all next week. Any ideas of what we can do for this?? I have 27 students and I can't imagine what we can do as a class!! Sing?? Please help! Thank you in advance!

They can write the poems (then class time is not wasted!) and read them/recite them! you could do a couple of class ones then some individual ones.

Or you can find a fun song and act it out.
Have the students read the lyrics, discuss them and then brainstorm ideas to represent them!

write a song

The kids could work in groups to write a song that teaches about something they are learning. Kind of like school house rock. You could brainstorm different tunes that they already know -- twinkle twinkle, old mc.donald, etc. Then they could write with those tunes in mind. That way it could at least be content related.

Good luck!

Grease

One of our third grade classes recorded and then lip-synced to "Summer Nights" from “Grease”. They had to change a few words to make it appropriate for children’s ears. But, the boys stood on one side of the stage wearing jeans and white t-shirts. The girls stood on the other wearing high pony-tails and skirts. They did a few dance moves and such, but it ended up being so precious.

The kids mostly already are familiar with it, and they love to learn the dances. If you buy/rent the dvd, it has some of the dances on it for them to learn. They really enjoyed doing this for our talent show.
